The main misconception about defaults is that many users don't change them, because they assume that the developers put thought into the defaults. But the developers don't put ideal defaults there, because they assume the user knows better what they need and change the defaults.

This leaves us with bad defaults that aren't changed. 🤷


@sheogorath puts some care to tailor the defaults from upstream to sane. I guess some other distros do that, too.
