aaand up again.
Haha. Bruce Schneier has revived his "snake oil cryptography" category specifically for Crown Sterling (they people who sued Black Hat after their sponsored talk was ill received by the audience):
"Enough of this. All of us can create ciphers that we cannot break ourselves, which means that amateur cryptographers regularly produce amateur cryptography. These guys are amateurs. Their math is amateurish. Their claims are nonsensical. Run away."
the problem of services not starting can be solved two ways:
1. upgrade the OS, upgrade all the cluster member OS running the virtual machines (basically also reboot all of them), also upgrade various components scattered
2. remove #systemd
guess which one.
#trump altered a National Hurricane Center map with a sharpie to falsely extend the official forecast toward Alabama so he didn't have to admit he was wrong in a tweet.
"No, Boris! No! Bad Boris! Sit! Stay!"
Fighting to get a stupid upgraded system to work, but it's hopelessly broken, daemons don't start then CAME THE LIGHT! Remove #systemd, install sysv and *boom* everything's back to working order!
Did you know that #linux isn't electronic? It is mad of pipes, socks, files, handles, tar, even evil spirits called demons. There's only one electron, but it's big and slow!
It is still not clear to me how am I supposed to use #mastodon web ui. How does it tell me which toots are **new**, and where shall I start looking?
The Admin Face.
Running Mastodon, Diaspora, Matrix (and possibly more); doing Wikipedia and OSM (and possibly more), creating Linux stuff, (and possibly else).
